I am fascinated, inspired and amused by people, nature, events and activities that surround us. My art and design is about highlighting the detail in the smallest of often overlooked objects in the environment or right under our noses to the funny daily observations in our fascinating world.
I work in different mediums such as oil and acrylic paints, drawing, and digital art. Depending on the subject, I will allow the work to take me on a journey as it speaks to me. I work on large format paper or canvas to small works on paper or human made objects. As a digital designer, I focus on the line work to visually communicate through imagery. I am fascinated by repeat pattern and use the Adobe CC to produce my digital patterns.
I am an experienced educational professional with a deep understanding of teaching and cross discipline creative art and design practice and process in both the tertiary and vocational sectors. I hold Design and Education qualifications including a Masters of Cross Discipline Arts and Design from UNSW. In 2009, I was so fortunate to be a recipient of the Minister of Education and Training and Australian College of Educators New South Wales, Quality Teaching Award, in Australia.
I am so fortunate to live in the beautiful Blue Mountains, Australia, with my wonderful kids and husband.
